I really enjoyed the start of this hike, but I didn’t have time to complete it, so this one is back on my list of hikes to do again. I’ll refresh this post once that happens.
Distance: 8.5 miles RT (I only went 3 miles RT)
Time: 4-5 hours (I only had 1.5 hours)
Start: Various starting points in the neighborhoods below the water tower. The road to drive to the water tower is closed. We took Center Street which ends in a neighborhood. The trail starts just next to a home at 1908 Spring Oaks Dr and heads South.
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Elevation Gain: ? (My gain was only 633 feet)
The first part of the trail is an access road that ends after arriving at the water tank.

At that point it turns into a very nice trail that goes through a section of scrub oak at the beginning but quickly opens up.

Some loose rocks at certain points on the trail, so watch your footing and wear good shoes.
