Snow Canyon – Pioneer Names

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

My kids are never content to just look up at the pioneer names from the trail, so we always have to climb the super steep rock wall to get right up next to them (causing Mom much anxiety).

The trail is actually a half loop (it starts and ends at different places along the main road).  But since the trail is only half a mile, it’s easy to walk back along the trail or road to your vehicle.  If you only want to see the pioneer names, then start on the upper trail and come back the same way.

Climbing to Pioneer Names
It’s steeper than it looks.

“Pioneer Names – One-half mile. Easy. Fairly level with some
steps and slopes. This crescent-shaped trail passes pioneer
names, written in axle grease, dating back to 1881.”
